Carter as a Turtle

Wow...it's been awhile since I have posted. It seems like things have been pretty hectic at our house, although I'm not sure exactly what we have been so busy doing. I guess our evenings have been filled with school conferences for me, get-togethers with friends, and random errands. So it's Sunday morning, Carter is taking his nap, and this seemed like the perfect time to write.

I was just ordering pictures off Snapfish this morning and looked back at Carter this summer. I can't believe how much he has grown since July. Its crazy! He is just so much fun and we are loving every minute with him. He now waves to everyone...people in Target, ladies behind us in church, people walking by. He also says "ball" now. Actually, its really just the "b" sound, but he says it every time he sees a ball. We were walking into Target yesterday and Carter spotted one of the big round, red pillars outside of the store. He started saying "ball, ball, ball." It was too cute!

Carter this past July.

This week was Halloween, of course, and so Carter got alot of use out of his turtle costume. On Thursday, we went trick-or-treating around West Des Moines. We visited Uncle Kyle, Josh and Lauren, Ethan (Carter's buddy), and Grandpa and Grandma Coppola. Joey and Maddox were there too and so we got to see the boys in their costumes! On Friday we headed toward Guthrie Center and we trick-or-treated at my aunt and uncle's and my parents. Katelyn was at Mom and Dad's and so Carter and Kate played and helped Mom answer the doorbell. My cousins stopped by with their three kids, and all of my grandparents came too. Carter definitely made the rounds.

Saturday was a beautiful day so we spent alot of time outside at Mom and Dad's house. Carter played in the leaves and rode Andy's old John Deere tractor. Definitely a good photo opp!

We'll see what the rest of the weekend brings. Hopefully lots of fun with the boys outside enjoying this beautiful day!
