Although the Donnenwerth kids are almost exactly the same ages as our kids, they are opposite genders. We're hoping to for a future marriage, but we for sure have some girls that will be BFF's... Maya Lynn and Lia Lynn! Maya is 2 weeks older than Lia but Lia outweighs her by a pound or two. Big Chubbin's likes to eat! :) It was fun to catch up, snuggle the babies, and watch the big kids play. Sometimes the girls would go off and play babies and the boys would play swords. And then the big kids would go off and play while the "middles" did their own thing. We sure love this family and had a fun 12 hours with them!

Stop #2: LaCrosse, Wisconsin to visit Bobbi and Joe
It took us about 45 minutes to drive to LaCrosse on Saturday morning from Winona. We first visited the memory care facility that Joe runs, and then we got to see their new place. All of their furniture hadn't been moved in yet, but they had it looking like home. There were cute Halloween decorations and a whole wall of photos of the kids. Grandma even had suckers and juice boxes for the kids. We stayed long enough to get a tour, have a snack, and feed a baby...and then we were back on the road again. This time, Bobbi and Joe joined us!
Stop #3: Decorah, Iowa to visit Tony and Kelly's family
Joe and Cary were in one car leading the way while Bobbi, the kids and I followed behind. By lunchtime on Saturday, we were at Tony and Kelly's ready to have some fun and celebrate Nina's 2nd birthday. As always, it was a relaxing day there with lots of playing in the basement and a little downtown shopping.
Happy Birthday, Nina Kate!!
