Trails in the Carpet!

I have to start with my favorite moment of the week. It's just too good! :) Bath time around our house is usually a family affair. Carter really likes his baths and so, unless one of us is really busy, Cary and I both like to watch him splash around. Sunday night was one of the most memorable bath nights for me. I was undressing Carter in his room (which he now HATES...he arches his back and cries whenever we try to change his clothes or his diapers...) and Cary was running the bath water in the bathroom next door. As soon as I got the diaper off Carter, he wiggled away from me and crawled at an impressive speed out the bedroom door. I followed him down the hall as he turned into the bathroom. Cary and I thought it was so cute that he must have heard the bath water running and was excited to get into the tub. Well just as he reached the tile of the bathroom floor, I noticed a zig-zag trail in the carpet. You guessed it...diaper-less Carter peed in a trail across the hallway carpet. I wish I had taken a picture...

On Wednesday night we had planned to have a picnic with our "couple friends." Due to the cold weather, we decided to have an indoor picnic at Josh and Lauren's house. Carter and his buddy Macy actually played together. It's so cute now that they are old enough to interact! They are going to have so much fun growing up together!

Friday night we had all of the Taylor family together at Cary's aunt Jerri's house. There are currently 5 boys on that side and 2 more babies on the way. Maybe one of them will be a girl?!?! The boys all had fun and wore their new matching Texas jerseys from Cary's aunt Jackie. They're all just too cute!

Saturday night Carter played with his cousin Katelyn. Andy and Julie watched Carter while Cary and I had a date night at the mall. Although Carter is good little shopper, it was really relaxing for just the two of us to be at the mall. We had dinner at Champp's and found some new clothes for Cary. It was a really great date-night...and a fun night for Carter too!

Carter also was very helpful with the laundry this weekend. With Cary being too distracted to fold a shirt in less than 5 minutes and Carter crawling in and out of the laundry basket, folding clothes became quite the chore! :)

I can't believe it's Tuesday already. That means another fun weekend with my boys is near!
