Flashback to 2005

Friday night we went out with some of our best friends - the August's, Donnenwerth's and Murphy's. This was quite a treat for us, although it used to happen on a weekly basis. It used to be that we'd meet at Third Base or have mexican food and then head out for a night of fun. When this all started, which was December of 2004, Mike and Amy had been married about 6 months, Cary and I had just gotten married the month before, and the others were still dating. Now, 4 years later, there are 3 kids and four marriages. Our friendships have grown deeper, our husbands still make us laugh, and we now just have more "remember when" stories. We realized that it had been exactly 2 years since Amy had gone out like that, and almost as long for me. Friday was Jenny's first night away from Riley, and Lauren ended up being our tour guide of the downtown bars. And honestly, we were champs! We were out until after 1:00 and made it to 6 Des Moines hot-spots. It was a fun night and I feel so blessed to have such great friends! Oh - and of course we were responsible parents and made sure Carter was well-taken-care-of at Grandma and Grandpa Coppola's! :)
