Just a night at home!

Last night after work, the three of us had fun just playing in the house. Now that the front room has curtains (notice in the pictures below), it has become another play space for us at night. The room seems warmer and more private now...so Carter played by the Christmas tree for quite a while. His favorite book is "Up on the Housetop" which plays the song when the book is opened. He's even figured out how to restart the music by closing and then opening the book again. So here are just a few pictures from our lazy Monday night.
Reading his book by the Christmas tree.
One of Carter's favorite toys - his walker. Hedy has the exact same one, so he walks around her house all day long with the walker. In fact, she bought two more just like this so the three youngest boys could each have one. She calls it his "car." Although Carter's not walking on his own yet, he can sure get around with this thing. He's even learned how to turn it around and "park" it. Just this morning Hedy told me she thinks he'll be walking by the end of Christmas break. We'll see!

One of Carter's other favorite "toys" - Maddie! He's big into giving kisses now - completely open-mouthed that makes your cheek (or nose) wet from slobber. Maddie got her share of kisses last night. We just hope that someday she loves Carter as much as he loves her!Carter and Daddy - I think this was the first time he's ever ridden on Cary's shoulders. I'm not sure who liked it more - Carter or Cary!

I just wanted to include one other picture from the weekend. On Sunday morning, Maddox came over to play for a couple of hours. Carter kept looking at him, then looking at Cary and I and pointing at Maddox. He smiled so big - like "look who came to play with me!" Maddox was so good and we loved having some quality time with him!!
