Trick-or-Treat!

It was a successful year of Trick-or-Treating! We started in our neighborhood where the four other neighborhood kids and a few other adults gathered in our driveway. Here's a photo with our much-adored neighbors Cassie and Joey. They live across the street from us and Carter calls them his "cousins." He likes to look out his window for them and Cary and I both think he has a crush on Cassie. After seeing them on Halloween, Carter couldn't stop talking about Cassie's white paint on her face. We just love these two kids! :) (Carter is not happy about wearing the helmet...)

Then we made a quick stop at Sean and Jess's house. This pose took a little time and work to accomplish...

My Michigan boys.

Then we made our way to Bobbi and Joe's house. Grandma and Papa were happy to see Carter at their door! Since Carter had never really done the door-to-door thing in past years, we decided to trick-or-treat in Bobbi and Joe's neighborhood. We thought we'd just go to the four nearby houses with lights on, but Carter had other plans. After a house or two, he was totally into the ringing the doorbell and getting candy thing. He'd run right up to the house, knock or ring the doorbell (if he could reach it) and yell "trick-or-treat!" Then he'd turn around and run back to us. Each time we had to remind him to stay at the door until the people came out. It was hard to just take one piece of candy, so we kept having to tell him "Just one!" And then it was off to the next house. After about 10 houses, Carter's bucket was full and Mommy was getting cold. It was time to call it a night.

One last family picture before Baby arrives!
