Night Eyes 2010 and Coppola Cousins Sleepover

Most years on Halloween, we take Carter to Bobbi and Joe's house and a few friends' and neighbors' homes, and then drive to Guthrie to trick-or-treat at my parents' house. This year, with the baby's arrival so close, we decided to skip the trip to Guthrie and do Night Eyes at the Blank Park Zoo with my parents and niece. Carter was a Michigan football player (a costume borrowed from Maddox) and Katelyn was Little Red Riding Hood. Boy, were these two cute together!

Although most of the animals weren't out in their regular exhibits at the zoo, there was lots of stuff for the kids to do. We saw cool displays, looked at other kids' costumes, ate a ton of candy, went down a big blow-up slide, played in a sandbox full of corn, went through a hay maze, and played on the playground. After two hours, Carter was filthy and exhausted. We even had the wonderful experience of a small meltdown as we left the zoo. A great time had by all! :)

Also, Carter spent last Friday night at Joe and Holly's house for the Coppola Cousin's Sleepover. Obviously, since I wasn't there, I have no pictures and no stories to blog about the night. Check out Holly's blog post to get the scoop: http://madkanga.blogspot.com/2010/10/coppola-cousins-sleepover.html
And an added bonus...Cary and I were able to have a real date night that night. We thought we'd better sneak in one last night away before the baby arrives.
