Hello, Mr. Snowman!

Last Saturday, the first big snowstorm of the winter came rolling in.  The snow fell all day long and Carter was itching to get outside and play in it.  So we all bundled-up and headed outside. Although the snow was blowing and falling rapidly, the temperatures weren't too cold.  Really the perfect day to be outside playing in the white stuff!
We started by making a big mound of snow.  It was really the perfect type of snow for making a snowman...heavy and easily packed.
Carter was great with the shovel.  He would get his shovel full and carry it over to the snowman.
Within no time, our new frozen family member was taking shape.
Miss High Maintenance was happy if we held her...
But not so happy standing on her own.  Thanks, Carter, for trying to cheer her up!
And look at that cute snowman!!!
Michigan hat and all.
Once the snowman was complete, crabby Brynn was sentenced to watching the fun from the sidelines.
"If I promise not to cry, can't I please go back out?"
The boys were having a ball!  They made a snow ramp in the driveway...
And did it over and over again!
After some marshmallows...
And hot chocolate...
We had some happy kids.
