Friday, December 21st: We were supposed to go to my Grandma Phyllis's house at the lake for the Priestley Christmas. Unfortunately, the blizzard of 2012 ruined our plans and instead we stayed home and ate the salad and rolls I'd planned to bring to Grandma's all by ourselves.
Saturday, December 22nd: Our friends the Donnenwerth's were in town from LaCrosse, WI, so we were able to catch up, let the kids reconnect and have lunch together. We sure do miss their family and wish they lived across the street rather than across the midwest.
Sunday, December 23rd: We drove to Guthrie and celebrated Christmas with the Sorensen side of the family. 8 of the 9 cousins were able to be there! It was nice to see everyone, spend some time with my grandparents, and reminisce with my cousins about how cool we were in the early 90's. Super cool. :) Afterwards, we spent a few hours at my parents' house just relaxing and catching up.
When we got home from Chuck and Joy's, we looked online to see where Santa was and to make sure he was on his way to our house.
Then we set out cookies, milk and carrots...
And tucked both kids into bed.
Christmas Morning: Of all days to be sick, Cary felt terrible this morning. He got out of bed long enough to watch the kids open presents, and then went back to bed. Santa spoiled the kids this year and they were pretty excited about all of their new toys. The storage in my house is not happy about it though...
