We bought an inflatable pool for the lower deck, which the jury is still out on. It seemed like a great idea, but it did take about 45 minutes to fill with water (cha-ching), and then of course got rained in and filled with junk by the next day. The kids loved playing in it on Saturday evening and I'm sure it will see lots of use during the summer.

Brynn had her last day of gymnastics last week, although she's enrolled in a summer class too. She made a ton of progress this year...mostly emotionally. She's a great listener during class and doesn't want to be in trouble. That makes me feel more confident about preschool next year!
Monday was my 32nd birthday and my sweet little family made me feel so special. It started with an early wake-up from Brynn, but she and Cary snuck out of the house before 6:00am to get me a Starbucks and pick up my present (which was being stored in his parents' garage.) Then they made me french toast for breakfast. My present (these two awesome lounge chairs and a gift certificate for a massage) were perfect!! I sat outside and finished my book while this handsome little man sat beside me.
It rained on and off, so we watched the Lego movie (and Brynn practiced her gymnastics on the couch). :)
We played outside a little while and then went to NYC pizza for lunch. The rest of the day was spent napping and playing outside. During the late afternoon, Holly and Joe had us over for a BBQ and the boys played baseball in the yard while the girls played babies. We came home for an early bedtime and a movie for Cary and I. All in all, just a great day!! So far 32 isn't so bad!
I spent Friday in Guthrie celebrating my Mom's retirement from teaching (40 years!!) and also helped her out a little since she recently broke her elbow. After her luncheon, Mom, Brynn and I got pedicures in town. This was Brynn's first every pedi and she loved it!! We then went back to the house and just hung out. Congrats, Mom! So proud of you!!!
And here's just a final cute photo of my sweet Brynn hugging her "baby" goodnight. They can't wait for their new brother or sister in 8 weeks!!!
