Our kids were so excited to trick-or-treat this year! Our very favorite neighbors had just moved away but were coming back to trick-or-treat with us. Carter and Brynn LOVE Joey and Cassie, and Cary and I really miss their family too...so we were all really excited. Unfortunately, when Carter came into my office after his school day, I could tell that he didn't feel well. His face was pale, eyes were glassy, nose was bright red, and he even asked me if he could lay down on the couch in my office. Not a good sign. When I picked up Brynn from daycare, Hedy said that she had coughed all afternoon too. Luckily, both kids perked up when they saw Joey and Cassie. They had a great time trick-or-treating on 55th street with the neighborhood kids, but both Carter and Brynn wore down quickly. We drove to Grandpa and Grandma Coppola's to show them the kids costumes and play with Uncle Kyle and Emily. And then it was early to bed for our runny-nosed owl and sick little skeleton!
