Christmas #8 - Mike & Bobbye's House

Cary has such great memories of Christmas day at his aunt and uncle's house in Waukee. The house is always overflowing with people and presents and Christmas decorations. The word "overflowing" honestly doesn't even do it justice. Seriously, there are people EVERYWHERE! And presents coming from the tree into the middle of the living room. And so many stockings that when they are all laid out, they take up more room than a pool table. And Christmas decorations in every corner and on every wall and on every countertop. It's crazy. In a fun way.
So this year was a little different because we had an active toddler, and because other than a quiet 1-year old, Carter was the youngest and craziest there. None of his Coppola cousins were able to be there, so he basically just ran around the living room tackling his second cousins and great uncles, tickling their feet, and making everyone laugh. He was being so goofy, but I was so proud of the little guy! He did spend some time hugging his second cousin Macy, which was adorable! Cary's aunt and uncle gave Carter a cool monster puppet that you can change the eyes, and ears and such. He also got an animal calling machine that is really fun. We had a huge lunch with so much food that it would take too long to list, and then Cary finished off the afternoon with a game of dodge ball with his younger cousins in the gym. Yes, they have a gym in their house. Before we knew it, we were stuffed with food and it was nap time for all three of us!

We ended Christmas Day by taking down our Christmas decorations, having left-overs for dinner, and curling up on the couch to watch a movie. Perfect.
